Published on November 9, 2021 | November is National Family Caregivers Month. During this month, we recognize the important role of family caregivers. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers. As a foundation, providing resources for caregivers is an important part of our mission. Below is a collection of resources dedicated to PKD caregivers.

Webinar for Caregivers

Though it aired last month, celebrate National Caregivers Month by checking out this webcast dedicated to caregivers. Caregivers: Recognizing When Day-to-Day Stress Becomes a Health Issue highlights the mental health issues caregivers may face and when to look for assistance.

Caregiver Articles in PKD Life

Did you know each issue of PKD Life has a caregiving section? PKD Life is a free magazine distributed by the PKD Foundation, focused on the topics that matter most to our community members. Each issue includes stories written with physicians, health care providers, patients, and caregivers. Here are a few our recent caregiver articles:

Parent Caregiver Resources

With ARPKD, parents often take on the caregiver role. The PKD Resource Library has resources specifically for parents, including recorded sessions from this year’s PKDCON. The ARPKD resource page also includes information about the Parents Chapter, ARPKD clinical studies, and ARPKD events.

And of course, PKD Connect is your one-stop-shop for support. Learn about our HOPE Line, explore financial assistance resources, and find additional information for parents and caregivers.

Join us during National Family Caregiver Month and say thank you to the caregivers around. Thank you for all you do!
