2020 Walk for PKD: Recap

Published November 10, 2020 | This year brought a big change to the PKD Foundation—moving the 2020 Walk for PKD to a virtual platform. During the 10 day event, we raised funds for PKD research, brought awareness to PKD, and came together as a community.

Walk for PKD Participation

In tackling the new, virtual format, we knew participation would look different this year. But our community certainly showed up! The 2020 Walk for PKD brought 400 teams and 2,500 participation together across the country. You shared your “Why I Walk” stories, took photos in Walk shirts, and explored your creative side with sidewalk chalk. No matter how you chose to Walk this year, we’re so grateful for you.

Dollars raised for research

Time and time again we’re blown away by what the PKD community can accomplish. This year, the Walk for PKD raised over $1 million! Throughout the 10 days, we saw you engage your friends and family on social media. You not only spread awareness of PKD, your hard work generated crucial funding for PKD research.

Donating to the Walk continues

Though the 2020 Walk for PKD is over, fundraising hasn’t stopped! We accept Walk donations through the end of the year. Making a donation in honor of a friend or family member is a great holiday gift or addition to your year-end, tax-deductible dollars.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 10-Days. One Goal. Walk for PKD. We hope to see you all—in person—next year.
