My husband, Tim, was diagnosed in 2002. In March of 2018, he was eligible to begin the transplant process. He was placed on the list about a year ago and received his new kidney from a living donor on August 19, 2019. Luckily, he never had to start dialysis. Now just a little over two weeks since surgery, I am thrilled to share how well he is doing. His kidney function numbers are fantastic and he feels better than he has in years! The PKD Foundation has been a reliable source of information and education for us. We continue to pray a cure is found so others don’t have to endure the pain of PKD.
