Advances in Kidney Transplant: How Donor Cells Are Changing the Future

Join us to learn about exciting advancements in kidney transplantation using donor stem cells. This new approach, being studied through the UCLA Tolerance Program, looks at how donor cells may help the body accept a transplanted kidney more naturally. We’ll talk about how this treatment can be done months or even years after a transplant. The process involves adding special donor cells to the body so the immune system learns to recognize the new kidney as part of itself.
