Walk for PKD - Your Way! is an opportunity to join the nationwide Walk for PKD community in a way that caters to your schedule and interests while keeping things simple. Walk for PKD - Your Way! offers you the freedom to choose – how, when, and where you Walk for PKD. Participate as an individual or a team of loved ones, select a date and decide how you are going to Walk for PKD Your Way. How you raise awareness and funds for PKD research is up to you!

Anita Farrell
PKD Connect Ambassador
Anita Farrell is a proud Houston native and currently resides in Katy, Texas. She was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) in 2021, a journey that inspired her to become a voice of hope and connection for others. As the PKD Connect Ambassador for the Houston area, Anita is passionate about creating a supportive space where individuals and families can share their experiences, access helpful resources, and find encouragement along the way.
Professionally, Anita works as an HR Consultant and brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. She’s known for her compassion, leadership, and commitment to helping people reach their full potential, both personally and professionally.
Outside of her work and advocacy, Anita enjoys cooking, exploring nature, and spending quality time with her two young adult children, Jeremiah and Mariah. Through her role with the PKD Foundation, she hopes to continue spreading awareness, faith, and renewed hope to everyone impacted by PKD.
