Published on July 20, 2021 | Summer is here and you know what that means—cookouts. Whether we’re in the backyard, camping, or spending some time at the lake, we can all use a good grill recipe. Who couldn’t use a PKD-friendly summer grilling marinade recipe? This recipe for a simple kebob marinade from our cookbook, Cooking Well, is low in sodium and low in protein. And since this is just a marinade, you can pair it with whatever best suits your nutrition needs!
Ingredients

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 clove crushed garlic

2 tablespoons honey or agave

3/4 cup olive oil
Cooking instructions
- Mix all ingredients together, adding oil last.
- Marinate meat (chicken, pork, lean beef) or vegetables (onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, squash, cauliflower, and more) overnight.
- Grill or broil.
