PKD Connect Ambassador

Recently diagnosed with ADPKD, I experienced the shock, fear, and uncertainty that often come with hearing those words for the first time. I remember leaving the doctor’s office with so many questions and immediately searching for a PKD support group, hoping to find someone who understood what I was feeling. That moment showed me how much connection matters. Living with PKD has taught me lessons no class room or research study ever could the importance of hope, the power of knowledge, and the strength that comes from community. This journey has deepened my compassion and has shaped how I want to show up for others navigating this path.
PKD can feel overwhelming, but community changes everything. Through PKDF, I want to contribute to the support I once searched for, especially in those first, uncertain moments. My focus is on building a local space where individuals and families feel informed, encouraged, and never alone.
